CONTAGIOUS has shown consistent ability to produce premium foals in his first three years of breeding. He has had 50% of them earn Premium status, including 1999's AHHA Foal of the year. Being very modern in type, CONTAGIOUS breeds well with all types of mares, evidenced by premium foals from Holsteiners, Thoroughbreds, and other recognized warmblood breeds. CONTAGIOUS' offspring have been very successful in the Hunter Breeding ring, with Phoenix Rising winning the Hunter Breeding Division of Devon.

He is by the international show jumper, Carolus, out of a daughter of Margie Goldstein-Engle's Grand Prix star, Lenz/Land of Kings. Consistently overlooked because of his Vorr Mother, CONTAGIOUS comes from a very impressive Mother line. Contagious's great grandmother, Silva was the mother of the famous stallions Moltke I and II. Silva is the mother of the very influential stallion Fasolt.

CONTAGIOUS consistently earned 9's across the board at the stallion approvals in his jumping tests, both free jumping and under saddle, demonstrating impressive technique plus remarkable balance and adjustability. Currently being shown at the Grand Prix Jumper level by his co-owner, Christian Rogge, CONTAGIOUS has consistently provided clear rounds and a willingness to do more.
